Speakers after speakers pointed out that the massacre was state organised and constituted state terrorism. This is clear from the fact that for 32 long years none of the organisers of the genocide have been punished by the Indian state although different governments have come and gone at the centre more than 10 commissions of enquiry have been set up and given their reports.
Speakers were unanimous that people cannot afford to forget such crimes committed by the Indian state and infact need to unite together to oppose all acts of state terrorism and attacks on people’s rights.
