The raid on Teesta Setalvad and her associates on the basis of concocted charges is an attempt to muffle those voices of individuals and organisations who are demanding that the guilty of 2002 Gujarat communal massacre be punished. It is an attempt to prevent the exposure of the blatant involvement of state machinery in targeting members of a particular community.
Lok Raj Sangathan strongly condemns this attack on human rights activists and assures its solidarity with Teesta and all those who have been fighting against state-organised communal violence.
