Karuppasamy was born in a small peasant family and died as a small peasant. For the past 25 years he actively worked for LRS and the peasant union. He tirelessly distributed party paper, literature and pamphlets among peasants in the area. He actively campaigned for the demands of peasants in the district and took up their issues with the Collector, and other district officials militantly. He participated actively in the yatra organized by Lok Raj Sangathan, the unorganized workers union and NAPM in 2005 and travelled from Kanyakumari to Chennai addressing many public meetings. LRS conveys its deepest condolences to the family members of the departed comrade.
