Statement by Maharashtra Committee of Lok Raj Sangathan and Kamgar Ekta Committee, 5 June 2017 We fully support their right to unionize to fight for their rights. We believe they should be entitled to the same rights as workers in other sectors have. We call upon all democratic minded people and all working people to stand firmly behind the IT workers!

Image removed.15 अगस्त, 2012 के अवसर पर मदनपुर खादर में नौजवानों के बीच विचार-गोष्ठी आयोजित की गई। 65 साल आज़ादी के ''ये कैसी आजादी?'' इस विषय पर लड़के-लड़कियों ने बढ़चढ़ कर भाग लिया। इस विचार गोष्ठी की अध्यक्षता लोक राज संगठन के दिल्ली परिषद के सचिव बिरजू नायक ने की 60-70 युवक-युवतियों ने अपने-अपने विचारों को प्रस्तुत किया। अपने विचारो में उन्होंने जीवन में हो रही कठिनाइयों पर और जो उनकी मूलभूत आवश्यकताएं उनके ऊपर बात रखी।

Image removed.The Tamil Nadu government, the Govt. of India and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited are moving ahead with their plans to commission the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant at Koodankulam in Tamil Nadu. The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) has given the necessary clearance for loading of fuel in Reactor-1, notwithstanding stiff public opposition to the project. The People’s Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE), which is spearheading the struggle in Koodankulam, has strongly condemned the AERB’s decision.

Report of the Meeting of LRS AIC held on 22nd July 2012

The All India Council of the Lok Raj Sangathan met on 22nd July 2012 in New Delhi. Members from Delhi, Haryana, Himachal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and UP were present. The meeting started promptly at 10 AM and completed its agenda just before 5 PM. A very serious and enthusiastic atmosphere pervaded the entire duration of the meeting.

Let us all demand the withdrawal of the draconian Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act (MESMA)!

In the last week of April ’12 the Maharashtra Legislative Council passed the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act 2011 (MESMA). This was earlier cleared by the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha in December ’11. Does this mean that now an Act has been passed which will help improve Essential Services like Health services, Water supply, Ration supply, Education, Transport, and Electricity etc.? No! There is not a single provision in the Act in this direction.

नागरिक भाइयों और बहनों!
जून महीने की शुरुआत में मुंबई के पश्चिम रेल की दो लोकल गाड़ियों की टक्कर हुई। इस के लिए कौन ज़िम्मेदार था, यह सिध्द करने के पहले ही मीडिया ने दोनों चालकों के ख़िलाफ़ चिल्लाना शुरू किया। लेकिन ठीक दूसरे दिन ही मीडिया को मानना पड़ा कि चालकों की गलती नहीं थी, सिग्नलिंग सिस्टिम में दोष था। लेकिन नुकसान तो हो ही गया था - सर्वसाधारण रेल चालकों को फिर से बदनाम किया गया था।

Nurses of Chennai private Hospitals strike work.

Image removed.Over 2000 nurses belonging to Apollo Hospital, MMM Hospital and Fortis Malar hospitals went on strike in the first week of March, demanding better salary and working conditions. They have been sending their demands to their management since November-11, but there has been no response from the management. Finally unable to bear ever rising cost of living and exploitative working conditions, they were forced on to strike.
