Workers hold massive Mahapadav at Parliament in New Delhi

thumbThe Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions, comprising Central Trade Union Organisations and all major industry /establishment wise federations conducting a three days' 'mahapadav' (mass dharna) before Parliament against the anti-worker, anti-people and anti-national policies of the Central Government from November 9-11, 2017. Lakhs of workers from across the country participated in this huge protest.

Image removed.People of Delhi cutting across party lines organised in Lok Raj Samiti’s have stepped up their struggle for their basic right of civic amenities which they have been deprived of by successive governments. People living in 7 workers' residential colonies in Delhi – Madanpur Khadar, Sanjay Colony in Okhla, Jasola, Indira Kalyan Vihar, Transit Camp Kalkaji, Sardar Colony Rohini and Shashi Garden near Patpargunj organised in lok Raj Samiti’s have submitted a join memorandum to the government of Delhi.

Let us all demand the withdrawal of the draconian Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act (MESMA)!

In the last week of April ’12 the Maharashtra Legislative Council passed the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act 2011 (MESMA). This was earlier cleared by the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha in December ’11. Does this mean that now an Act has been passed which will help improve Essential Services like Health services, Water supply, Ration supply, Education, Transport, and Electricity etc.? No! There is not a single provision in the Act in this direction.

Lok Raj Sangathan holds meeting in Padagha - We are the producers – We are the real Maliks

A very successful public meeting was held in Padagha local School ground on the theme of “We are the producers, we are the real Maliks” on 27th November’11. More than 500 people from Padagha and a large number of surrounding villages, men, women, children and a large number of youth participated in the meeting.

Casual workers of erstwhile Indian Airlines are continued as casual workers in the merged entity of Air India. In Air India - Indian Airlines, over 400 workers have been working as Casual and Temporary workers for many decades. These workers who are Class-4 employees work as Commercial Helpers and Drivers.
